New Game Minus is different from Normal mode in a few ways: When you start up New Game Minus, it will tell you what you're in for, but here's a quick rundown if you want to know what to expect before jumping right in.

Old Game Alliance Tolerate another person long enough to beat Old Game Minus entirely in co-op. Don't worry, these are spots for the DL-C1 upgrades, which you will get later. Once you go through the game, you'll notice that you have a few empty spots in the unlockables menu. Here are the upgrades you need to obtain for the achievement: If you're leveling up in Research level as you progress through the game, you'll eventually get them all.

After that, go ahead and 3D-print yourself a gold star!īuild every upgrade in the base game. The $600 Man 3D-print all the 3D-printables. If you want to 100% the game, you need to own the Hot Garbage DLC, as some Steam achievements are tied to it.I don't think there are any items that you can actually miss scans on- if there are, I have yet to find any.

Collected a resource and forgot to scan the rock? Just scan it later. If you kill a boss and forgot to scan it, just come back later. You need a certain percentage of scans in order to progress in Research levels, and if you are scanning everything along the way then you can easily meet prerequisites before you ever need to worry about them. If you want to 100% the game, get used to scanning every little thing, even if you don't care about the lore or anything about the planet.I recommend using co-op to grind some of the more tedious achievements like completing the Kindex and getting every goo on the planet. Pretty much everything here that is not solo-only is WAY easier and faster when done with at least one other person. If for some reason nothing works, well, nobody's going to know or judge you for using something like SAM. For single-player achievements that aren't popping, just unlock them later in a solo game. For co-op achievements, try unlocking it via different methods like letting the other player get the final blow/unlock, leaving someone inside or outside the arena, and so on and so forth. Sometimes, they'll unlock only for the host, and sometimes the other way around. This does not strictly apply to co-op achievements, but ones that can be done either way. Some people, myself included, encountered issues with achievements unlocking in co-op.Unless an achievement explicitly states that it needs to be done in co-op or solo, assume that it can be done in either way.If you need to find something, just Ctrl+F. Hello there! This guide contains spoilers- in case you didn't see the warning earlier.
